week 6 eoc

The one thing i hate about a&f stores to much of that smell gets me and they need to turn the lights on. I feel that they have very youthful trendy looking clothing that has been popular for several years and seems to continue to be popular. I think that they keep that certain laid back, relaxed. “A&F attaches traditional outdoor and rugged iconic patches on sweaters, pants, and denim garments, which have allowed the retailer to gain strong brand recognition.” (Brand Story, Joseph Hancock, Pg 92)
the atmospherics like music, fragrance, lighting, and stores props can either help the overall brand message or it can hurt it. i think it hate the hurt the company in the long run. at first you didnt really see a lot of urban people on the displays and everybody hella skinny like they dont eat. so when teenage see this make them want to be skinny like the models.
i really hate that obnoxious smell and loud music gives me a headache, I think its too much and it hurt my eyes alot. i think they intimidate their customers by using extremely attractive models that only make their target market to hurt they body to look like them.
